Monster Cereals!

Of the three major Monster Cereals, who was your favorite?  Count Chocula?  Franken Berry?  Maybe Boo Berry was your boy?  I was a fan of all three, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Boo Berry.  I always saw him as kind of the underdog, and where I come from, we have a long history of rooting for the underdog.  And besides, have you ever seen milk that blue?  I remember back in the day I used to have this white and blue ringer t-shirt with Boo Berry on the front, and I wore that thing with pride.  It pretty much goes without saying that Monsters and Cereal are a killer combination, so if you're looking for a Monster Cereal fix, you've gotta check out this blog!

This dude is a total Monster Cereal junkie, and his blog is by far the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of all things Monster Cereal.  Artwork, nostalgia, awesome links, you name it.  If it's Monster Cereal related, it's covered HERE.  Check it out and enjoy!

Tonight before bed I'm gonna eat a big bowl of Count Chocula because I just bought a new box today.  You should do the same!  Peace.

Race Car Crunch!

My eyes recently lit up in the cereal aisle when I stumbled upon Cap'n Crunch's Limited Edition Race Car Crunch!  Frankly, I couldn't care less about auto racing, but I have to admit, even I got a little hyped up when I saw the Cap'n all geared up in his racing outfit!  Aside from the nifty looking box, the only difference between this and regular Cap'n Crunch is that the crunch berries are in "fun race car shapes" instead of their usual round berry shape.  They were certainly fun to eat, that much I promise you.  I'm not sure if you saw these on any of your recent trips down the cereal aisle, but if you did, I hope you nabbed a box or two for yourself!

Cröonchy Stars

There are plenty of reasons why I'd like to revisit my childhood, and Cröonchy Stars are by far one of those reasons.  Jim Henson was a genius for many reasons, this cereal being one of them.  I have a memory of being 8 years old, sitting in front of the television eating a bowl of this cinnamonnamony goodness while watching The Muppets, and I was pretending to be the Swedish Chef!  In between spoonfuls, I would speak fake Swedish while throwing things over my shoulder, just like the Chef himself.  Okay, so I wasn't exactly the coolest kid on the block, but whatever.  I was having fun.  Now here I am, twenty-one years later, wishing I could have just one more bowl full of those cinnamon stars.  Now all I have are my memories and the internet to remind me of this great cereal from the 1980's, the Golden Age of cereal if you ask me.

Here are two Cröonchy Stars commercials I'm sure you'll remember!
